Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wants to make Bitcoin an “inviolable right” for US citizens if he becomes president. This is because he believes it is an effective tool against the rise of totalitarianism and promotes a future where government institutions become more transparent.
Kennedy will ensure that citizens can freely use and hold Bitcoin if he becomes president, the Democratic candidate writes in a statement on Twitter.
He says the cryptocurrency is a “bulwark against totalitarianism and the manipulation of our money supply” that points the way to “a future where government institutions are more transparent and more democratic”.
As president, I will make sure that your right to use and hold Bitcoin is inviolable. Bitcoin is not only a bulwark against totalitarianism and the manipulation of our money supply, it points the way toward a future in which government institutions are more transparent and more… pic.twitter.com/rPkMARieYu
