Kamala Harris is supported by more than ten times as many Icelanders as Donald Trump, according to an opinion poll. Only 9% of citizens say they would vote for Trump.
Polls indicate that the race between Vice President Harris and former President Trump is currently relatively close in the US, with Harris generally leading Trump by a small margin.
Meanwhile, the Trump campaign can take heart from the fact that Icelanders can’t vote, with Harris enjoying much greater support according to the Gallup National Pulse poll, according to Icelandic state broadcaster RUV. As many as 91 percent of Icelanders would vote for the vice president, while only 9 percent would vote for Trump.
Harris’ support is strongest in the 50-59 age group, where 97% would vote for her. Trump, on the other hand, has the most support among Icelanders in the 40-49 age group, where 15% would have voted for him. 96% of Icelandic women and 85% of men would have voted for Harris.
Even among supporters of different Icelandic parties, Harris generally enjoys greater support, while Trump, for example, has no support at all among left-green voters.
