On Saturday, the Left Party of Orust published a controversial post on Facebook claiming that Israel had prior knowledge of – but chose to ignore – Hamas’ plans to attack Israeli civilian targets on October 7.
“How likely is it that the Hamas attack on October 7 went under the radar? I think Israel let it happen. Sacrificed its festival youth and kibbutz families to wipe out Gaza”, it read.
The author of the post further proclaimed that he “is always on the side of the Palestinians” and sympathizes with Kristofer Lundberg, V-chairman in Angered, who is threatened with expulsion after he expressed support for the terrorist group PFLP.
Shortly afterwards, the post was deleted and the local chapter also condemned the message.
“Early in the morning, a text was posted on our Facebook page with content that the Left Party Orust does not support or can accept. We will clarify our routines around social media, so that this is not repeated”, it says.
Not a new theory
Recently, the Jewish lobby organization Jewish Central Council announced that the Left Party is no longer welcome to participate in the organization’s memorial services – this because it is considered to have major problems with “anti-Semitism” within the party. During the fall, two V-politicians have also left the party after statements that were accused of being anti-Semitic.
It should be noted that reports that Israel’s rulers were warned of an imminent Hamas attack are nothing new, and The Nordic Times has previously reported on how Israel and the US overlooked intelligence warnings of a major Hamas attack.
It has also emerged that unknown investors apparently knew about the attacks in advance – but chose to short Israeli shares and earn billions of dollars on this, instead of saving lives.
