Primarily, Iskander missiles have been used to strike targets in Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry states that in recent days it has used 100 missiles and 466 Geran-2 drones, hitting 17 “key Ukrainian military-industrial targets”.

A large number of foreign specialists were also reportedly killed and the strikes are seen as a response to Kiev’s attacks deep into Russian territory.

According to the Ministry of Defense, Russian forces used Iskander ballistic missiles to strike at deployment sites for Western-made long-range missiles and locations where foreign mercenaries were located. Yesterday, Russian forces also reportedly carried out attacks “at the Ukrainian military-industrial complex and its energy infrastructure”.

According to Vladimir Putin, Kiev’s attacks on Russian soil with Western-made weapons mean that the West is also directly involved in the war and he points out that Russia has been attacked twice in a short time with ATACMs missiles against targets in the Russian regions of Kursk and Bryansk and he promises retaliatory attacks. British-French Storm Shadow/SCALP missiles were also reportedly used against Russian territory.

On November 25, Iskander missiles destroyed five ATACMS long-range missile launchers in the Sumy region and five more MLRS and Himars launchers, killing some 30 specialists working on the weapon systems.

French instructors killed

Two launchers equipped with Grom-2 ballistic missiles and a launcher and cargo vehicle for the Neptune anti-ship missile system were also destroyed.

On the same day, there was also an attack on the headquarters of the Kraken intelligence service in Kharkov, in which “up to” 40 foreign, mainly American, specialists were reportedly killed.

Furthermore, an Iskander attack on the temporary facility of the Special Operations Center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is reported to have eliminated 72 drivers of unmanned motorboats as well as nine French instructors and technical specialists.

Energy infrastructure facilities were also reportedly damaged in several regions, leading to large-scale power outages and, later, severe restrictions on energy consumption for electricity customers across the country.

“Obliterated to elementary particles”

Vladimir Putin also commented on Russia’s newly developed Oreshnik ballistic missile, which he says is capable of taking out even heavily fortified targets.

– We know from history where meteorites had fallen and what the consequences were. What lakes were formed, Russia’s leader explained during a security conference in the Kazakh capital Astana.

Moscow reportedly already has several such hypersonic missiles at its disposal and has begun mass production of the weapon system, which has dozens of targeting warheads. According to the President, a massive attack with such missiles would be comparable to a nuclear explosion.

Anything located in the strike center is obliterated into elemental particles, reduced to dust, the president said.

The missiles could be used against Kiev if Ukrainian attacks on Russia using Western long-range missiles continue, Putin further explained.
