In a study, researchers warn of a large increase in cardiac arrest among elite athletes since the introduction of covid-19 mass vaccination program. The researchers cannot rule out a link between the increase and the covid vaccine.
Since the introduction of the mass vaccination against covid-19, a large number of athletes have suddenly collapsed and suffered heart problems, and several have died as a result. Most of those affected have been men, with many of the collapses caused by heart attacks, heart rhythm disturbances and blood clots – conditions that have also been highlighted as side effects of the covid vaccine.
In a new study, published in the Scandinavian Journal of Immunology, researchers found an increase in cardiac arrests in elite athletes. According to the study, 29 cardiac arrests per year occurred in European sports before covid-19, now the number has risen to more than 1500 cases since the vaccination program was established, two thirds of which have been fatal.
According to the researchers, a link between the increase and the covid-19 vaccination program cannot be ruled out.
Experts fear a link to the covid vaccine and warn that this is something that should be taken seriously, even if the link is not fully proven at this stage.
Already in 2021, the Moderna covid vaccine was stopped for people under 30 because of an increased risk of inflammation of the heart muscle or pericardium. At the end of 2022, Novavax vaccines for those under 30 were also stopped for the same reason. However, several younger people had had time to be injected with both vaccines before the authorities’ decision.
