This Saturday, the annual litter-picking day will be organized as part of World Cleanup Day. Unlike previous years, the Swedish organizer Keep Sweden Clean will not distribute litter-picking kits, but instead encourages participants to use their own bags and gloves.

On Saturday, September 16, the annual event All Sweden Picks Litter kicks off. It is part of World Cleanup Day, where people around the world are out on the same day picking up litter.

Various litter-picking events will take place throughout Sweden during the day, in which people can participate.

The organizer Keep Sweden Clean informs that they will not distribute so-called litter-picking kits with gloves and trash bags this year.

“We encourage all participants to use their own bags, sacks, and gloves”, writes Keep Sweden Clean.

At the time of writing, nearly 140,000 people have registered for the event.
