Swedish leaders speak at globalist forum

The globalist agenda

Elisabeth Svantesson, Martin Lundstedt, Anna Borg, Jesper Brodin, Niclas Mårtensson and Johan Rockström.

The annual edition of the World Economic Forum’s power conference in Davos began yesterday and runs through January 19.

As expected, the Swedish elite is represented on the list of speakers – this year including Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M), state power company Vattenfall CEO Anna Borg and car manufacturer Volvo CEO Martin Lundstedt.

This year’s main theme is “Rebuilding Trust”. Discussions and events will focus on “global security, job creation, climate initiatives and AI development”.

Governments from more than 100 countries are expected to attend, along with more than 1,500 representatives from specially invited companies, organizations, activist groups, media and social entrepreneurs.

“Davos 2024 is the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. Under the theme Rebuilding Trust, the meeting aims to restore collective agency, and reinforce the fundamental principles of transparency, consistency and accountability among leaders”, it says.

“How can we effectively deal with security crises, such as the current situation in the Middle East, while at the same time putting the floor under the structural forces of fragmentation? How can we identify areas where cooperation is essential to ensure a win-win scenario for all stakeholders?”

AI and climate

There will also be a strong focus on artificial intelligence and how it can become a “driving force for the economy and society”.

“How can we use AI to benefit all? How is the divergent regulatory landscape balancing innovation with societal risks? How will AI interface with other transformative technologies, including 5/6 G, quantum computing and biotechnology?”, they ask.

In addition, strategies will be developed on how to achieve “carbon-neutral and nature-positive world” by 2050 while “providing affordable, secure and inclusive access to energy, food and water” while trying to find out “how to balance these trade-offs to achieve social consensus”.

Finance Minister present

Although the actual list of participants is not public and there is no real public transparency as usual, it is clear that several Swedish leaders will speak at the event. Probably best known to the Swedish public is Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M), who will speak under the title “Good Growth: Lessons From the Field”.

“How can government and business overcome divergent priorities and contested models to balance growth with their citizens’ lives, happiness and well-being as a measure of success?”, is the question she wants to help answer.

The CEO of the shipping company Stena Line, Niclas Mårtensson, is also on the list of speakers to discuss the following:

“In 2023, the High Seas Treaty was signed into force, marking the end of more than a decade of multilateral negotiations. This agreement provides for the global governance of 95% of the ocean volume, addressing pollution, overfishing, climate change and biodiversity loss. What are the implications for business and government in this new compact and how can stakeholders collaborate to exercise collective stewardship?”

IKEA, Vattenfall and Volvo

IKEA CEO Jesper Brodin will speak about “climate and nature” and the need to find a “systematic response” to combat alleged climate change.

“Leaders are increasingly called upon to transform the current growth and development models to better steward the global commons and serve humanity”, the program says, among other things.

Vattenfall’s CEO Anna Borg is also there to talk about how the state-owned company has spent $15 billion on developing “climate technology” and how it has received support from several of the most economically important countries.

“What are the lessons learnt and what lies ahead in the journey to speed up and scale these technologies?”, are questions she will try to answer.

Volvo CEO Martin Lundstedt is in Davos to participate in a discussion on “climate action” and emissions reduction in the manufacturing industry, and how manufacturers can deliver new innovations and technologies to “successfully negotiate the green transition while maintaining growth”.

Zelensky and Milei

WEF “agenda-setter” Johan Rockström, professor of earth system science, will also participate in a session that will once again focus on climate change and how global warming is supposedly threatening the economies of the Alps and everyone who lives there.

“There is an opportunity for government, business, sports and civil society to rally together to enhance the resilience of these ancient landscapes. What are the strategies and business models needed for the alpine industry to adapt and thrive under new climate realities?”, is among the questions discussed in this session.

Other prominent international guests include Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang, French President Emmanuel Macron, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Argentine President Javier Milei, and the leaders of South Korea, Spain, Belgium, Colombia, Switzerland, and many other countries.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will also attend the conference – but no representative from Russia has been invited. The US will be represented by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, and other Senate representatives.

FN and NATO

The UN, IMF, World Bank, World Trade Organization and NATO also have their leaders or most prominent representatives there. It is clear that the World Economic Forum has become the major annual gathering of the global elite, attracting the very top and not just those “lower down” in the hierarchy.

It can also be noted that the security around the power conference will be very high – as many as 5000 soldiers will “protect” the participants and be stationed around Switzerland. While the Forum is expected to bear the bulk of the cost, the Swiss government is still spending around 35 million Swiss francs to guard the event.

Among other things, the air force will assist the “air police” and conduct surveillance flights in the area. There is also close cooperation with Austria and Italy to “ensure the safety of the airspace”. The background is extensive protests from climate activists, among others, who last year protested against those in power in Davos with accusations of hypocrisy and lack of climate commitment.

Reports: Bilderberg meeting to be held in Sweden

The globalist agenda

The globalist-oriented Bilderberg Meeting is, according to yet unconfirmed reports, set to hold this year’s gathering in Sweden. The exact date and participant list have not yet been officially confirmed, but the meeting is reportedly planned to take place in Stockholm in mid-June.

The Bilderberg Group’s controversial gatherings have long faced strong criticism, primarily due to the meetings being described as an important arena for the actual power establishment of the Western bloc – where the economic and political elites are effectively brought together – while lacking public transparency about what is actually discussed and decided beyond general agenda items. The meetings follow the so-called Chatham House Rule, which allows participants to use information from discussions but prohibits revealing who said what.

Wallenberg family key Swedish figures

A long line of Swedish prime ministers have attended the meeting, including the last four, Ulf Kristersson, Magdalena Andersson, Stefan Löfven, and Fredrik Reinfeldt. The most prominent Swedes within the group are the power players surrounding the Wallenberg dynasty and their investment company Investor. Both Marcus Wallenberg and his uncle Peter Wallenberg have for many years been members of the meeting’s so-called steering committee.

The meeting has been held in Sweden on four previous occasions, in 1962, 1973 and 1984 at the Wallenberg-owned Grand Hotel in Saltsjöbaden, and in 2001 at the Hotel Stenungsbaden in Stenungsund in connection with the EU summit in Gothenburg. Last year’s meeting was held in Madrid.

Once dismissed as a “conspiracy theory”

The public denied for a long time that the meeting was organized, or even existed, and was dismissed in the mainstream media for many years as a “conspiracy theory”. In the 21st century, as a result of independent media coverage, it has since been recognized that the meeting has actually been taking place since 1954, with high-profile lists of participants typically ranging from 120-150 specially invited participants.

Goldman Sachs veteran takes over Canada

The globalist agenda

Mark Carney has claimed, among other things, that climate change-related deaths “will be the equivalent of a coronavirus crisis every year”.

As expected, it will be the top banker and Bilderberg veteran Mark Carney who succeeds the heavily criticized Justin Trudeau as leader of the Liberal Party and thus Canada’s new Prime Minister.

Carney, who previously served as the central bank governor for both Canada and the UK, also has a long background as an executive at investment bank Goldman Sachs and has sat on the board of the globalist World Economic Forum’s foundation.

Mark Carney was the clear favorite in the Liberals’ internal vote this weekend, eventually winning 85.9% of party members’ votes.

– I will work day and night with one purpose, which is to build a stronger Canada for everyone, he promised after the election win and also took the opportunity to further fuel the conflict with the Trump administration’s United States.

– The Americans – they want our resources, our water, our land, our country. If they succeed, they will destroy our way of life.

Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed a desire for Canada to cease being an independent nation and become a US state, and it is precisely the very strained US-Canadian relations that paved the way for Carney’s rise to power. Although he has no real political experience, he has been touted as the best person to handle the trade war with the US.

The Bilderberg Group and the World Economic Forum

Mark Carney, an economist by training, worked for Goldman Sachs for 13 years in the investment bank’s Boston, London, New York, Tokyo and Toronto offices. He joined the credit risk department as early as 1988 and rose to more prominent positions, eventually becoming responsible for debt advice to governments in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In 1998, he moved to Goldman Sachs in New York, where he was responsible for corporate transactions and mergers, before moving to Canada, where Carney was eventually appointed managing director of the firm’s investment banking division.

In 2003, Carney left Goldman Sachs to join the Bank of Canada five years later he headed the country’s central bank and was appointed Governor of the Bank of Canada in 2013 a post he held until 2020. Since then, he has worked as an adviser to Justin Trudeau including during the Canadian lockdown policy during the coronavirus crisis.

The Liberal also has extensive experience in various influential circles of power, having served on the board of Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum foundation and attended meetings of the shadowy Bilderberg Group for several years.

During his time as a bank manager, he has also built up a considerable private fortune and, although he cannot compete with the most wealthy people in power, he is currently estimated to be worth almost $7 million.

Comparing climate change to covid

Carney also has a background as the UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance, and has argued in various climate alarmist pronouncements that the world needs to come together to combat alleged climate change something that is also claimed to be “a huge economic opportunity” for private actors.

– One of the biggest issues is you cannot self-isolate from climate. That is not an option. We cannot retreat in and wait out climate change, it will just get worse, the Liberal has previously said.

– When you look at climate change from a human mortality perspective, it will be the equivalent of a coronavirus crisis every year from the middle of this century, and every year, not just a one-off event. So it is an issue that needs to be addressed now, he argued in 2021.

During the coronavirus era, Canadian repression was particularly totalitarian, with those in power imposing martial law, among other measures, to combat protesters who opposed the harsh restrictive policies in the capital, Ottawa. Others had their bank accounts frozen and a large number of peaceful protesters were detained or subjected to violence by the police.

It is worth noting that a general election is expected to be held in Canada later in 2025, and that the Liberal-Conservative opposition Conservative Party of Canada would have received the most electoral support had an election been held today.

Trudeau Schwab’s disciple

It is noteworthy that the outgoing Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, also has very close ties to the World Economic Forum and has been described as something of a disciple of founder Klaus Schwab.

Schwab has previously proclaimed that humanity is facing “a fourth industrial revolution” that will “lead to a fusion of our physical, digital and biological identities”, and Trudeau in particular has been praised as an ultimate representative of this world order.

I couldn’t imagine anybody (than Trudeau) who could represent more the world which will come out of this fourth industrial revolution, Schwab said back in 2016.

Hungary’s warning: “Soros’ globalist network is fleeing to Brussels”

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is warning the world that ultra-globalist and currency speculator George Soros’s political influence campaign network is leaving the United States and seeking to strengthen its influence over Brussels and Europe.

WARNING! Our fears have come true: the globalist-liberal-Soros NGO network is fleeing to Brussels, after President Trump dealt a huge blow to their activities in the US”, writes Hungary’s leader.

He points out that 63 of these organizations have already asked those in power in Brussels for funding and financial support – often under the pretext of working on various human rights projects.

However, Orbán declares that Soros’ networks are just as unwelcome in Europe as they are in the US.

Not going to happen! We will not let them find safe haven in Europe! The USAID-files exposed the dark practices of the globalist network. We will not take the bait again!” he proclaims.

Trump froze funding

Orbán is referring to a petition in which the International Commission of Jurists lobby group and some 60 other NGOs are demanding that EU countries take over the funding of their activities – after US President Donald Trump recently issued an executive order freezing all US foreign aid for 90 days.

“(We) call on EU leaders to take immediate action to address the global development aid crisis triggered by recent decisions by the U.S. administration”, the left-wing organizations write.

The appeal urges the EU, as the world’s largest foreign aid provider, to step up its leadership and ensure continued support for democracy, human rights, global health, and humanitarian assistance”, they add.

According to the NGOs, it is particularly important for the EU to spend money on groups and projects working on “reproductive rights, gender equality and LGBTIQ rights” and to put diplomatic pressure on the US to resume payments to left-wing activist organizations.

“Transatlantic oligarchy”

This is far from the first time Orbán has harshly criticized Soros’ network. The Nordic Times has previously reported on how he believes that Brussels today is “occupied by a left-wing transatlantic oligarchy”, and that the EU’s constant attacks and threats against Hungary are orchestrated “by the liberal united front funded by George Soros” that seeks to influence Europe’s political direction.

The newspaper has also reported on how the United States Agency for International Development (USAID ) has spent billions funding various forms of left-liberal projects and advocacy campaigns in other countries – including Soros’ Open Society Foundations.

According to Viktor Orbán, the agency funded “virtually the entire left-wing media in Hungary” during the Biden administration – with the aim of trying to force a regime change in the country.

USAID central in global propaganda war

Disinformation in the media

  • New serious revelations continue to emerge about the US aid agency USAID.
  • Among other things, it shows that the agency has been systematically used to run advocacy campaigns in more than 30 different countries.
  • In Ukraine, as many as nine out of ten media companies have been entirely dependent on US aid money – with USAID reportedly the main funder.

US aid money has funded a worldwide propaganda apparatus.

The Nordic Times has previously reported on how Trump may completely shut down USAID. This after his efficiency chief, Elon Musk, described it as a “purely criminal organization” and stated that it “is time for it to die”.

The White House has also confirmed that the aid organization has funded LGBTQ propaganda, jihadist terror groups and other subversive activities in a wide range of countries.

A review also shows that USAID has played a central role in the US propaganda war and has funded a very large number of pro-Western media around the world media that are now threatened with closure if US support is cut.

In Ukraine, for example, Reporters Without Borders (RSF) points out that “9 out of 10 outlets rely on subsidies and USAID is the primary donor”.

80% of our budget is affected, laments Anna Babinets, CEO and founder of Slistvo.Info.

“Almost everyone had grants”

According to RSF, USAID funds “independent media” in over 30 countries and has funded “training and support for 6,200 journalists, assisted 707 non-state news outlets, and supported 279 media-sector civil society organizations”.

In 2025 alone, $270 million was budgeted to support “independent media and the free flow of information”.

– The problem is that almost everyone had grants. The question is that for some, these grants amounted to 100% of their income and they could only survive thanks to grants. These grants amounted to 40–60% for some, less for others, explains Oksana Romaniuk of the Ukrainian Institute of Mass Information.

She clarifies that media funding came not only from the US but also from the EU and the UN.

“The puppet masters pulling strings”

The “independent journalism” funded with US aid money is accused by many critics of being a propaganda machine pushing issues and topics deemed important to the political establishment in Washington.

USAID has pushed nearly half a billion dollars through a secretive US government financed NGO, ‘Internews Network’ (IN), which has ‘worked with’ 4,291 media outlets, producing in one year 4,799 hours of broadcasts reaching up to 778 million people and ‘training’ over 9000 journalists. IN has also supported social media censorship initiatives”, WikiLeaks wrote in a post on X.

Former USAID director Samantha Power has also spoken openly in the past about how the agency funds and influences media reporting in countries like Moldova and Nicaragua.

USAID set up insurance funds for journalists, which was just a fancy way of saying they were controlling the narrative. Over in Moldova, they pushed for memberships and subscriptions, essentially deciding who gets the cash flow. And in Nicaragua, USAID was restructuring media businesses, which is a nice way of saying USAID was calling the shots on how news gets made and distributed”, notes political commentator Ian Miles Cheong.

They were the puppet masters, pulling strings to shape the media landscape to their liking”, he concludes.

Orbán: USAID has a strong presence in Hungary

In practice, it remains unclear whether the agency will be closed down completely, reformed or resurrected in a modified form. In many quarters, hopes are now being expressed that in that case it will focus on aid work rather than advocacy.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, among others, has said that the agency funded “basically the entire left-wing media in Hungary under the previous US administration”.

And they called me ‘disruptor of the year’ … I think the world owes a debt of gratitude to President Donald Trump for uncovering and putting an end to this dark conspiracy”, he wrote.

Not a new phenomenon

It should be noted that attempts by the US establishment to simultaneously control and manipulate media reporting are not a new phenomenon nor are they limited to USAID alone.

During the Cold War, for example, the CIA launched “Operation Mockingbird”, which aimed to manipulate US and international media to spread pro-American propaganda.

By recruiting journalists and using front organizations, the CIA influenced news reporting, sometimes by planting false stories.

The program was partly uncovered by journalist Carl Bernstein in 1977, who claimed that over 400 journalists collaborated with the CIA in various ways.
